About Me and Motivation:

My name is Ben Brown and I am 15 years old. I come from Wales and New Zealand and I am very passionate about football. For my project I decided to design football boots because it is a very challenging yet interesting task and as mentioned before football is my greatest passion. I have lived here in the Netherland for almost five years now and in the past I have lived in New Zealand and London, England. I got to this school, the AICS and I am very happy to be here. For my personal project I decided to design my own football boots. I decided to do this because football is one of my biggest passions.  I have always been fascinated by football boots, their design and how they can help make players achieve peak performance on the field. I wanted for my football boots to be perfect for me. To achieve this goal I gave myself fitting criteria for me to reach my goals. My boots ended up looking aesthetically pleasing and they met all of my criteria. I set criteria that would make me reach my peak performance on the pitch that would make my pair of boots perfect. To help inform the product I designed, I needed to identify what the most important things I needed to do as a player and how the new boots could help me do things better. As well as this I have thought of the bad things that could have happen and how I would have needed to prevent them. My boots had many “perfect” factors that are labelled on it for my final product. I was motivated to do this product because football is my main passion and it is a topic that relates to my in a personal way, very uniquely compared to other ideas.
